Alfred Raphael b.ca 1850, entered Mexico through the USA border possibly around 1885 to do some work related to the railroad. He had a child out of wedlock with my great grandmother in San Luis Potosi, Mexico but He part ways without fathering the child. Our family name stayed but was written incorrectly on certificates following phonetics and ended up as ROFFIEL, which would be the way it sounds in Spanish.
We do not have records of him, but via genetic genealogy, we have discovered that we belong to the RAPHAEL family from Victorian London, and descendants of a couple: Jacob Raphael b.1750-d.1810, and Rachel Hart 1751-d.1834, in London.
